After School Programs
Overtime Athletics offers the following after school programs:
What can we accomplish with youngsters of all skill levels one hour after school, once a week, during our fall, winter,
or spring sessions?
Overtime Athletics is a safe and affordable program that strives to meet the same objectives the PTA sets for our children.
The National Parent Teachers Association Mission is:
- To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools
- To assist parents
- To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools
- To promote the welfare of children and to secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, and social education
Parents and teachers both acknowledge the dangers children are confronted with during the often-unsupervised hours between
the "school's out bell" and the "dinner bell".
After school activity is a proven deterrent for children making the wrong choices when confronted with the increasing
negative temptations they are faced with everyday.
According to the Children's Hospital in Chicago:
- Just an extra hour of exercise a week could significantly cut obesity amongst young over-weight children as well as benefit the over all well-being of all participating kids.
- Nearly half of America's youth are not vigorously active on a regular basis.
- The Surgeon General has reported that less than 20% of school students receive adequate physical education every week.
Do you think your students would enjoy an athletic program that is not listed above?
Please feel free to contact us about whether or not Overtime Athletics has the resources to implement your request.
