Liezl (Liz) Heaton is proud and excited to jump-start OTA’s newest Franchise in the Chicago area as a woman-owned business. Liz is the very embodiment of the American Dream! Born into poverty in her native Philippines, Liz’s family created small businesses there, which lifted them out of abject poverty Even as a young girl, Liz helped run these family businesses, signing checks for her dad and working with suppliers and customers at the ripe old age of 8!

In 2008, Liz immigrated to the Chicago area of the United States and in 2016, Liz became a proud US Citizen! In 2010, Liz married her husband, Peter who brought his life-long love of sports and teaching kids to their relationship. He is a long-time Illinois certified & patched youth basketball & flag football official (referee) who has worked more than 1,500 kids’ athletic contests over the years. Peter also coaches and teaches beginner kids’ basketball skills/drills, as well as tennis instruction for both kids AND adults.

Over the past 15 years, Liz & Peter led successful careers--Liz advancing impressively as a physical therapist, and Peter thriving in B2B industrial/commercial/healthcare sales. But the true center of their lives has been their two beautiful daughters—Samantha, 11, and Meghan, 7. One big reason Liz is so motivated and committed to her OTA franchise is that she experiences first hand, is the tremendous impact, for good or for bad--which the choices parents make regarding their kids’ camps and programs can have, on their children’s experiences, and even their social and emotional development. And aside from all of that, Liz knows that year after year, her own choices for her daughters have not always been exceptional, nor as affordable as she would like.

With franchise-owner Liz’s business acumen, her ties to her community, her organizational skills and her love of kids, complimented by Peter’s seasoned background and passion for kids’ sports and instruction--Liz is REALLY excited to get started on delivering the very best youth instruction and care to her Chicago-Land customers and the communities in which they all live.
