The Importance of Administrators and PTA/0's bringing After School Programs to their School

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), children and adolescents should do 60 minutes (1 hour) or more of physical activity each day. One of the most important reasons for administrators to bring after school programs to their school is that it will keep students active and healthy in a safe way. At times, it can be difficult for young students to find some type of physical activity every day. This problem can be solved by providing them with the option to participate in an organized, convenient, and enjoyable after school program.

What About the Parents?

Having after school programs in place are not just for the youngsters – Parents benefit as well! We all know how easy it can be to lose track of time in the busy work week. After school activities provide a safe, structured environment for children of working parents. After school enrichment is also a great way to expose your kids to new interests without the stress and commitment of a full-time team. Along the same lines, children sometimes have trouble or become a little nervous when deciding on a sport or activity. After school programs can help build your child’s confidence and steer them in the direction they enjoy most.

Administrators, if you do not already have after school programs in place now is the time!
